My Sistah’s House is a Black trans-led nonprofit in Memphis, TN, providing emergency and permanent housing to Black transgender women and nonbinary people.
WeCareTN
WeCare TN empowers Black transgender women who engage in sex work and use drugs by providing education, resources, and community support. Our mission is to promote equity, dignity, and an improved quality of life for them and the communities around them.

Trans Advocacy Day

A powerful advocacy event designed to put local lawmakers and city leaders on record regarding their commitment to Trans rights and protections. This action-oriented gathering will focus on concrete, city-based solutions for Trans protections while challenging those in power to take a clear stance in support of Trans Memphians.

Cap off Southern Trans Pride Weekend with a vibrant, festival-style celebration in the park! This free, family-friendly event features local vendors, community resource booths, interactive games, live entertainment, and activities for all ages. Come as you are and celebrate the joy, resilience, and beauty of our Trans community.
In today's political climate, trans communities face increasing threats, like:
Restricted access to gender-affirming healthcare
Housing and shelter discrimination based on gender identity
Legal barriers to accurate personal identifying documents
That's why this Celebration is vital. Trans communities are here to stay, and we deserve the space to honor our work together and wholeheartedly CELEBRATE.
The Southern Trans Celebration will be a first-of-its-kind gathering centered on trans history, joy, and resistance rooted in the South while building toward collective liberation nationwide. With three days of powerful programming, we aim to elevate trans visibility, strengthen community connections, and establish a platform for ongoing advocacy and resource-building.

"We believe that for our movements to win, we need to support and bolster organizations not just in times of crisis, but in periods of expansion, shape-shifting, and transforming. We also believe that it is important for us to fund work at the intersections of various interconnected movements, for example where climate justice and disability justice overlap with racial justice, or where reproductive justice and sex worker liberation meet. We trust and believe young, queer, grassroots organizers have always and will continue to pave the way for TLGBQIA+ liberation, and we continue to learn from the movement and challenge ourselves, intermediary funders, and traditional philanthropy to show up more boldly.
Having pride in who we are, the world we are fighting for, and where we come from is not just about a moment or a statement, it’s an action that we continue to embody in our work all year round. Our Pride is 365!"
